Project Co-ordinator

Reporting to the Director: Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Early Intervention and Rehabilitation projects in Hatcliffe by identifying key needs, arranging and delivering for appropriate support as required. This will include directly collaborating with partners to implement, report, train, document, mobilise resources and monitor and evaluate performance of projects. The successful incumbent will ensure adherence to set quality standards and child protection measures.

This position will be based in Harare

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Support development and implementation of St Christopher’s Children with Disability (SCCD) strategy, work plan and budget
  2. Provide technical support for all projects
  3. Support resource mobilisation and funding of SCCD strategy, delivery, and sustainability
  4. Advocate for the rights of children with disability and their families, enhance the image and influence of SCCD in Hatcliffe, in-country internationally and across social media
  5. Forge relationships with partners, civil society organisations, government, and international cooperating partners
  6. Monitor and evaluate and report on SCCD activities
  7. Oversee administrative duties including records and information management
  8. Document promising practises and case studies
  9. Supervision of Volunteer Staff
  10. Carry out any other work assigned by Director
  11. Act on behalf of the Director when absent, with delegated authority.

Required qualifications and essential skills:

  1. An Honours degree in social science, or any other related field
  2. Solid background in social protection, management of projects and monitoring and evaluation
  3. At least 2 years in the field working with children
  4. Experience with working with NGOs, government, UN agencies and other donor agencies
  5. Knowledge of issues affecting children with disability and their families
  6. Ability to communicate at all levels: excellent communication, presentation, and project implementation skills
  7. Good facilitation, strong people skills with the ability to influence others without formal authority
