St Christopher’s Children with Disability
is a registered non-profit organisation (PVO 73/2017). We work in Hatcliffe, a poor and marginalised suburb north of Harare, Zimbabwe. In partnership with caregivers, their families and other stakeholders we provide Early Intervention and rehabilitation services as well as psychosocial support to 107 children and their families.
We are determined to ensure that each child under our watch develops to their full potential. We are determined to ensure that caregivers and their families are empowered in their role as the primary caregivers of the children. Finally, we are determined to raise awareness, advocate and implement within our limited resources, the human rights of children in Hatcliffe, as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC, 1989) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD, 2007) and as enshrined in the Zimbabwe Constitution 2013.
